Missions Trips 2020

The Fountain offers an opportunity for short-term mission trips for youth, college students, and adults to discover genuine faith while serving our neighbors across the U.S. 

On these trips, we serve and connect with others who live in under-served, urban areas. The people you encounter are dealing with hunger, homelessness, poverty, human trafficking and broken homes. We partner with organizations and local people to serve these neighborhoods and to be the hands, feet and heart of Jesus.

Domestic Mission Trip - BROOKLYN, NY

The Fountain will host a mission trip to Brooklyn, NY, June 14-19, 2020 through the Youth Works, which is a Christ-centered 501c3 nonprofit corporation created in 1994 by Paul Bertelson. This organization specializes in serving and partnering with communities by providing logistic support for mission trips throughout the world. They annually average about 21,000 participants serving over 45 communities.

This will be a life-changing mission trip for all the participants. It will give them the opportunity to grow spiritually while serving others.

Here are some important information about the trip:

The cost for the trip is $800.00 per person for the trip.
The first installment of $200 is due - January 23, 2020
Second Installment of $200 - February 23, 2020
Third Installment of $200 - March 23, 2020
Fourth Installment of $200- April 23, 2020

Mission Trip Dates: June 12-19, 2020
Destination: Brooklyn, NY

What is the purpose of the trip?

To share the gospel and grow as a disciple by serving others in need.

Who are our Mission Partners?

The Fountain is partnering with Youth Works, a Christ-centered 501 nonprofit corporation created in 1994 by Paul Bertelson. This organization specializes in serving and partnering with communities by providing logistic support for mission trips throughout the world. They average annually 21,000 participants; serving over 45 communities.

How much is the trip and what does it cover?

The total cost of the mission trip is $800.00. This includes air fare, lodging for 7 nights, & 3 meals per day. However, participants should have funds to cover miscellaneous expenses, i.e. tour Day.

Will I have to pay the total cost upfront?

No. A payment plan is available. The breakdown on the plan is as follows: $200 per month beginning 1/23/20 – 4/23/20.

Where will we stay?

The team will be housed in a hotel during the Tour days and at the 59th Street Brethren Church for the mission portion of the trip.

Are there any age restrictions?

The trip is open to adults & children ages 13 and up. You must be able to do light physical work and cleanup.

Can I make a donation?

Yes. All donations can be made online at thefountain.net using the “GIVE” link. Then select “2020 Mission Trip - Brooklyn”. Or you can donate at church using a tithe envelope. Simply write “2020 Mission trip” on the envelope.
